I think there's the expectation that a man in uniform is strong, dependable, and rock-solid in a crisis. He has to be -- it's his job and people's lives depend on him. He's a man you'd absolutely want in your corner.

I agree with Kayelle that I'd love to read about more military heroines (both mom and sis are vets). Actually, I'd love to read about more women in uniform, period -- especially if they're paired with a man in uniform. Now that's a story I could get behind.

Congrats on starting the blog!

A military hero has already proven his worth to others, and the expectation is the heroine can depend on him.

I'd like to see more female military heroes who have a relationship with a guy in the military. I met my hubby that way! And nothing wrong with a kick-butt heroine and a civilian, either.

As a RomVet, an author who served in the Armed Forces, I know personally that being a woman in the military is a life of difficulty and trial beyond normal duty. I hope to read about some of those women soon. (hint hint, all you writers out there hunting for a story idea)
